On Sept. 27th, 2018 took place the final reception of the project ”Refurbishment of Bradu Power Station”.
Bradu station is an important interconnection point between the energy distribution networks from Muntenia, Oltenia and Transilvania.
The refurbishment project took into account that, besides the South of Romania, the electrical energy be also supplied to Ardeal and Bucharest via Târgoviște. This was made possible by redistributing the energy surplus provided by Complexul Energetic Oltenia and the hydro-sources from Vidraru.
As part of the refurbishment project at Bradu Power Station, Electroputere SA played an important role providing some of the most important equipment set-up on site, namely:
- 2 AT 400 MVA;
- 2 AT 200 MVA;
- 2 TP 16 MVA,
all new & automatically controlled by Scada.
By reengineering the station and installing new equipment and monitoring systems, the safety of the power transportation system was considerably increased. Started in 2014, the project amounted to an investment value of 29.3 million euros and is one of the most complex in Romania, with 4 volage levels: 3 (three) HV levels of 400, 220 și 110 kV and a MV level of 20 kV.
We would like to thank everybody, employees or business partners alike who, through their endeavours, made it possible to achieve our share in this project and to include Electroputere in the gallery of companies that have played an essential role in this mega-project of national importance.
